My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I think these are not truly separate books. The book started right from where Rough ended. This is my review and there is going to be spoilers, sorry!
It starts with Colin making breakfast to Allie. She feels infatuated by him. He is too good with Bailey. Too good to her and too good to solve problems. This is totally understandable cause Allies past is quite colorful. Those little things from the past are revealed in this middle book and Allie tries to turn herself from victim to fighter.
Skye Warren has written it beautifully, but I hoped that Allie could linger in those memories longer. Story goes on and the horrible past seems to be forgotten quite soon. Not in thoughts but in emotional level. This left me little cold and I couldn’t find a connection to Allie.
Also Colin didn’t grew with this middle book. He seemed to be passive and I noticed that I was more interested in his brother Philip than him.
All in all, this book was great middle book and I recommend it if you want to read something nice and entertaining after hard day at work 😉
